These terms apply to your use of renewableenergytools.com (the "site"), operated by Renewable Energy Tools ("we", "us"). By using the site you agree to them. If you do not agree, please do not use the site.

1. What the site provides

The site offers renewable energy guides and free calculators for solar, wind, electricity use, EV charging, backup power and unit conversions. Results are estimates for planning and learning. They are not engineering, electrical, financial, legal or professional advice. Please read our disclaimer.

2. Your responsibility for results

You are responsible for checking your inputs, confirming prices with your utility or supplier, following your local electrical and building codes and, where needed, getting advice from a licensed electrician, installer or engineer before buying equipment or doing work. Electrical work is dangerous; batteries and solar arrays must be installed safely and to code.

3. No warranty

The site and its content are provided "as is" and "as available". We work hard to keep calculations accurate and test every formula, but we make no warranties, express or implied, that the site will be error-free, uninterrupted or suitable for a particular purpose.

4. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any loss or damage arising from your use of, or reliance on, the site or its results. This includes equipment purchases, energy bills, project costs, delays and property damage. Nothing in these terms excludes liability that cannot be excluded by law.

5. Acceptable use

You may use the site for personal and business planning. You agree not to:

• Copy, republish or scrape the site's text, tables, illustrations or code in bulk, or present them as your own.
• Interfere with the site's operation or security, or try to access systems you are not authorized to use.
• Use automated tools in a way that places an unreasonable load on the site.

You may link to any page and share calculator results.

6. Intellectual property

The site's text, calculators, code, design and illustrations belong to Renewable Energy Tools or are used with permission. Brand and product names (for example Tesla) are trademarks of their owners and are used only to describe products. We are not affiliated with or endorsed by them.

7. Advertising and third-party links

The site may show ads served by Google and its partners, and links to government agencies, research organisations and manufacturers. We are not responsible for the content, products or privacy practices of third-party sites or advertisers. How advertising data is handled is explained in our privacy policy.

8. Changes to the site and these terms

We may change, add or remove calculators and content, and update these terms. The "last updated" date shows when the terms last changed. Continued use of the site after a change means you accept the updated terms.
